Jesus is the center of our faith.
He is both the complete revelation of God to us and the model of perfect humanity. It is from Jesus, then, that we learn how to be in right relationship with God and with one another. Therefore, we are committed to obeying him.
The Bible is God’s inspired revelation of his love for his creation and the plan for his Kingdom.
We read, teach, and study the Bible to better know the nature of God and his will, as well as to gain wisdom and discernment concerning his eternal truth.
The Holy Spirit is God’s indwelling presence that empowers and equips us.
Through the Spirit we experience the new life Jesus offers, as individuals and in community. We recognize the need to develop and regularly employ practices that teach us how to hear and to follow the Spirit’s direction in order that we may live lives that are pleasing to God.
Relationships are central to our lives as followers of Jesus.
We welcome into our community anyone who desires to connect with God and with other people. We are creating an environment of mutual encouragement and reconciliation, with a commitment to unity and maturity in Christ.
In addition, we intentionally pursue relationships with those outside our community, to make God’s love visible through acts of kindness as good neighbors.
Spiritual Formation is the development of Christ-like character in our lives.
This transformation is God’s will for every believer, and it is the fruit of our ever-deepening relationship with Jesus. We joyfully and lovingly submit ourselves to him as our King, we receive his teaching, and obey the leading of his Spirit in order to reveal the kingdom of God through our words and deeds.
